Greetings friends! Play.me is the new music platform where users can stream ad-free music on demand from virtually anywhere at any time. Play.me’s browser-based service gives users instant access to nearly three million songs to discover and share both on and offline.
lay.me’s four main aspects:

1) Play.me is a digital music platform
With Play.me, you can play, share, and download music. Start by creating your own playlist or by setting up a radio station based on your favorite artist or a specific genre or decade.
Play.me does not require anything to be installed on your Mac or PC. All you need is your browser. Our vision for the future of music does not involve downloading each and every track to your computer, but instead to allow you to stream music “in the cloud,” meaning that you can access anything in our vast catalog at any time. “Keep it simple” is our motto.

2) Cross device access
Access Play.me using your computer or mobile phone. Play.me is especially handy on your mobile device. Check out our Android Application — you can manage your playlists and have a music library of nearly three million tracks available for you at any time, wherever you are. You don’t have to remember to synchronize your music collection every few days or limit yourself to a small number of tracks because of limited space on your phone.
Going to a place where you have no mobile signal? We’ve got you covered. You can store your favorite playlists on your phone, something we also refer to as offline caching, which lets you listen to music on the subway, on a plane, or anywhere else your mobile or Wi-Fi reception is spotty. Once you’re back in an area with a signal, your device can go back to streaming anything from our catalog.
Don’t have an Android phone? Don’t worry! We’re releasing applications for the iPhone and Blackberry in the near future.

3) Social network integration
We know everyone has a Facebook and Twitter account these days, so we won’t try to burden you with recreating your entire social network on Play.me. Simply share your playlists and song recommendations with all of your existing friends directly from the Play.me interface. We like to keep it simple, remember?

4) Ability to integrate your own site and applications with our service
Our platform is completely open to any third party developers. Play.me APIs help the developer community plug into our catalog and create new and innovative web, mobile and desktop widgets and applications allowing music fans to do even more with the music they love.
